Good day?

Morning, Tuesday evening I had a pleasant run, my book has actually given me some motivation to get running, the beautiful weather also helped. I ran around Wellington lake which was apparently built by soldiers employed after the battle of the same name. It os really nice and if you ever come to Leeds I will show it to you.

I retired to my room and finished the book, granted it is quite short being just shy of 200 pages. i messed around on the mac and I am already impressed just by the face recognition feature on iPhoto or whatever it's called.

I enjoyed my evening as I had some me time. I will aim to try and get this every day a time to watch TV or draw or read or do something I want to do. I've picked up a book call Audition and after this I think I'll read the Great Gatsby and then maybe another Haruki Murakami novel. ( I want to meet this man)

On the drive into work i rediscovered the Kings of Leon album "Only by the night" it is definitely a classic, cruising down the M62 and 60 through the pennines shades on - sun shining on me, makes for a start of a good Wednesday.

I feel like I'm on the road signposted better life, I don't know when I'll get there BUT I will get there.

AMEN

Week recap - boring for you

So much for keeping an everyday Journal, or whatever, now let me try and back track real quick

Wednesday- The hangover- great film - NO EXERCISE

Thursday- Jogged around Lake Wellington, then went Salsa - which was good again.

Friday - Transformers at the movies in London, yeah it was good BUT they tried to rush a storyline, they should have just left it at transforming a couple of shots and some brief flashbacks- that's what we paid to see.

Saturday - Went for a run Met up with long time friends rediscovered how property prices down the road for me are extortionate, went to Moose bar- too random on this occasion.

Sunday - In between drips and drabs of sleep I managed to do one two errands. Had Morleys Went for chinese, which kicks healthy eating right in the teeth. Too tired to drive to Leeds, so I'm still in London- working from home and also STILL waiting for my MAC which is estimated to arrive today or tomorrow, please say TODAY, please say it's TODAY!!

I'm reading a book called what I talk about when I talk about RUNNING

Vex -penses

First off, I just realised my expenses have not been paid, now i'm not an MP but I expect my petrol allowance to be paid to me ontime, I'm always owed a weeks money due to the way it works, but if they don't pay me I'm not driving into work.1 because i dont't have the spare cash to flash. I had plans this week, so the money owed me was meant to cover that, so now my weekend is ruined except for the MAC arrival

Anyway Monday, i did kickboxing at the gym , the class was free as my membership still runs, and that was Monday nothing special-

Tuesday i worked in Leeds, felt claustrophobic as anything, they consolidated the offices and got rid of a whole floor-- save money-- increase stress and noise--
After work I went to Capoeira for the first time in like 5 years, it was fun it was a good workout. Seeing me attempting a cartwheel and a handstand would have been worth the entry fee alone. It was fun singing along to the songs and playing Capoeira at the end. yeah I want to go back, i want to be able to do minor acrobatics- it will take time because I am crap at acrobatics -crap with a capital RUBBISH.

oh yeah I went to this shop called white label clothing, basically they do what i would love to do, print and design t-shirts and some menswear, had a conversation-i got their business card and will be liasing with them soon, pick some brains. make a few screen prints what not-- happy days

take time, communicate well and never assume always ask

Drag me to the woods!

This is my blog, so I'm going to mainly keep it about me (selfish i know) but I have to mention the Mrs today- We went for a walk around a nice lake in my local park on Saturday.

And I'm unwillingly dragged on an alternative apparently tame woodland route, after 45 minutes of seeing nothing but shrubbery and being sceptical about every rustle in the bushes, we decided we were lost "it looks like fun" was a falsity . We spent the best part of the next hour putting our orienteering skills to use - please note I am not Bear grylls -,

fuelled by the wise words of a chav that there was an exit to this woodland adventure we reappeared on the outskirts of a golf course.

Getting back to the car was a relief, we had to make a quick change out of our muddy footwear and saw Drag me to Hell, I'm not sure if I liked it, it was like a cross between Scary Movie and a Scary Movie, never before have I cringed and then laughed in such quick succesion.

( i want to put a joke about sex or something but my brain doesn't seem so sharp right now)
oh yeah so much apple product placement, it's a joke

Hmmm We went for run directly around the lake on the sunday no deviations from the beaten path and later on had a picnic in the shadows of an old castle ruins andcrash session in the Park. It's always good to get downtime

took my sketch pad and attempted to pencil some ideas. Had notification that the Mac should arrive @ my london address next week which is Sterling news, yes sterling.

Said goodbye to madam and had a session at the gym. i must note there was a guy there the size of my 7 year old brother lifting my OLD bodyweight on the Smith bench press- Im thinking steroids or something.

Finished the wire season 1, quite good, need to call up to get the next one for £10--> this is advertising

Mambo no.1

Wow, Who would have thought it, Salsa was serious as in very good, I actually enjoyed it and will be back next week.

I take back all the insults I flung at my friends ,mainly calling them GAY for learning to Salsa. I mean I thai box, that's testosterone central and salsa seems quite camp. BUT there were some dudes getting kicks out of turning women Mr La Vida Loca and Pablo Molesto so I guess although, the general salsan has a gay dress code I'm sure most salsans are dance lovers or a bunch of seedy pervs

NB. i had to wear my v-neck t-shirt and look remotely pruned as it was asalsa night out and i wanted to look european by exposing some of my chest hairs.

The beginners class started at 9.30 my housemate was in Intermediate- fancy footwork confusion class- and then there was dancing ALL NIGHT LONG (your brain wants you to sing some Lionel, so do it!!) I had to stop at 12 it was bedtime for me- 70 mile commute remember- i'll talk about it one day

I like the fact that I was asked to dance after the class by a few Salsans ( that's what I'll be calling Salasa dancers) but I didn't like the fact that i could only do like 2 moves. Some guys there were impressive I can't wait till I'm at that level and as for the clammy hands- boy I'm going to get this thing from Boots which "should" sort that out.

Frosties for Dinner and sausage sandwich- student times for a working man

Fridays here- got my expenses so i can afford to take the Mrs to the Cinema lol, Saturday night at the movies -Good times!! Have her for the whole weekend.
Long Distance Relationships can suck but I'd rather long distance relationship than no relationship.

the routine

Hmm I went to the gym briefly ( what a boring place) and cancelled it out by going to Dutch Pot a caribbean place by having chicken and dumpling- hmm delicious, I'm African so caribbean food is foreign to me and always a treat.

I cancelled the gym membership so that ends end of the month watched some of the wire

I've only just started this hit, police/drug dealing criminal series, quite good check it out if ou haven't

I'm just finishing season 1. I am like halfway through 24, heroes , prison break and the wire, I'll try and finish all of those in the near future.

I don't have much to say, so I thought i'd write down my routine, may help me see how I can change it u a little bit.

Get up- obviously, getting ready etc
drive to knowsley (70 miles from home--except one day where i'll just go to the Leeds office,)
Act the robot for 8 odd hours-i.e work
drive back
Go Gym (which will soon change) or Muay thai
get home, eat shower, watch (currently) the wire and have phone calls

i do this every weekday but friday may end with me driving to london or anticipating the arrival of my Mrs or visiting friends from London, rarely do i spend the weekend alone in Leeds.

I am now going to change this routine - slowly at first and drammatically eventually.
I'm going Salsa tonight for the first time so that's a change right there, alot of my friends in London already do it. My housemate is an ex professional dancer ( not a stripper) so i'll roll with him.

I'm not scared of dancing, but I got them clammy hands , it won't be nice for whoever I'm holding, doodle.

quitting gym

So I did go Thai Boxing and I did go to the GYM afterwards and I decided my GYM membership is getting cancelled.

It's boring and static it's so medical I'd much rather go to Muay Thai or take another martial art. i was thinking Capoeira as I've done it before and I can't do a cartwheel handstand or anything and I'd love to be able to so there is a Raize in leeds I will check out next week. So I can do this for the next /6 months till I leave Leeds and maybe learn to do a cartwheel. @ work at mo pretending to work. I repeat this is so unfulfilling.

If i wasn't at work now, i'd be waiting for my mac to arrive or trying to draw or watching a film- world cinema

In future i want my day to consist of- Drawing -watching films, martial arts- working on the mac on creative stuff, and not just my evenings- all this stuff can be done all over the world.

Be cool to play capoeira in Brasil ,which is the real spelling son

numero uno

This is my first entry!

I'm taking time out from a Job I care nothing for in a City I don't know.
I don't write in consecutive sentences most times so I apologise ,to who? je ne sais pas.
I'm going Thai boxing and to the city gym as I can't resist the chocolate I need to make sure I have no money as i know I can't resist temptation with money in hand and a vending machine in spitting range.

Today I spent 8 hours working for someone, wasting my life, I will use this blog as a means to propel my self to a state of happiness by reminding myself how unhappy I am here, and eventually geting out. AMEN
