Schools out for summer

Near my school - 5 storeys

So, my first term as an ALT is over I've still popped into school to do some odd bits of work with the kids. They say when you love something you'd do it for free and that I am. I'll still go to school tomorrow at 9 am to do some stuff with the kids.

I have a lot of time to myself and I need to use it to work on a plan and things I'd like to achieve make short term goals to meet long term ones. I know I always said the goal is to be in Japan but now that has accomplished I NEED to work on the next step.

I've managed to get in some dancing been to Tokyo a couple of times and will possibly be getting in some club time Kizomba on Tuesday.(good news) It has been hot insects have been flying. I have received a bike which I have to pay for at the end of the month. The guy just said take the bike and pay when you have the money cool stuff. Working on a little Vblog venture so you can see what is going on so stay tuned for that. I think I'll try and link it all together and add Instagram as well. Triple threat son WHAT!!

BOB SAPP,I AM NOT

I'll say Thank God it's Friday not because I hate work because the opposite is true and more because I am tired. I've greeted more people than the pope walked like an hour each day as my commute and climbed that hill that my school is on top off which will get me fit. Plan is to get the quiet cheap drink in with a few friends and just relax.I say the as it is going to be one lol. I'm looking forward to some Umeshu plum wine which I'll eventually learn to make.

Like it's Friday end of the working week and, I had a busy day, there were only 5 school periods in the day and I was  only meant to work 3 but I ended up doing all 5. So extra work but this is more of me putting my hand up saying I'm free let me take part in these lessons.


I think I'll benefit from writing little and often as everyday there is something to say. I wish I could have videoed my introduction lesson because I think its cool. I confronted  the Bob Sapp comparatives I knew I would definitely receive head on by pulling out a Bob Sapp flashcard to introduce the concept of name.. A few kids try call me Bob Sapp but since I brought it up first it is more like a laugh together than at me and they can't take credit aye.

SO I attend a Japanese class once a week on Thursday and it's in a community centre so I showed a few members the basics of Salsa and a bit of Kizomba on the Thursday , I mean being a teacher helps now as showing and demonstrating becomes part of your life which is always fun so I look forward to working on that part of my life (the dancing)here. Also I received a generous amount of rice from one of the teachers who happens to come from an area where rice is in abundance and this came about from me complaining that the price of rice is too damn high. I think i have enough to last me the year and It was necessary as times are hard, month in lieu pa and all that means pay  arrives end of May now considering I moved here end of March and I travelled 6000 miles and rent a modern apartment it is a hard life. Top it off I met somebody else who has invited me to a vibrant international church in the closest big city Mito so everything is falling into place. Earthquake count for me now is 3 now so I'm getting used to it.

Le weekend of le busy

That is my attempt at French lol, British people make me laugh, they think speaking loud, slowly and by inputting le and la after every utterance constitutes to speaking Le french.

Anyway that was a tangent, I had a crazy week. I danced Salsa from Tuesday- Friday

On Thursday Mo and Brendan who are Salsa dons invited me out with them to Wetherby- felt flattered I have climbed up the ranks of salsa hood. SO

I found myself in wetherby - being asked to dance by people who if they saw me on the street would normally cross the road climb a fence and take a taxi-- SALSA is a whole new world.

Saturday found me in Birmingham with the graduate force-- was an okay encounter-- etap hotel allows you no privacy- the shower has a blooming peep hole wide enough for you to fit your fist through and is at waist height- why oh why!!

Anyway got back to Leeds on Sunday courtesy of Russel brands driving and I went Salsa on Monday- and I am proud to say I did a spot of beginners teaching :D

Week of Productivity

Absence makes the heart grow fonder for a while and then you just forget--you know it's true

Anyway-- since last week, what has happened, i had one of those chilled weekends spending most of my time with my brother, who is my favourite person in the world.. I hat to see him sad and he's always sad when I leave which makes me sad--

My mum and brother are coming to see me tonight and i will surprise them by taking them to safari-

I've been salsa twice this week and one more time tonight before mum gets up-

is someone obsessed, NO- i just enjoy it , the lessons are cool but its the freestyling afterward, it's reminiscent of being in school disco asking girls to dance, now I'm not scared to dance, I'm just not that great-- and i know it will come as I can see that I am getting better but not yet--

Jokes - i wish I had my camera there was this Chinese dude, well he looked chinese, who looks like the geekiest Chinese guy who was in your school the smart one who got straight A's in everything English even though it was his 2nd language.

Anyway this guy was the Dogs at Salsa, the bees knees the pepper stew, the aki and salt fish lol. He was sick and one time he was dancing with this black woman twice his height, twice his width and ten time his yardie. They danced so well but looked so odd-- classic moment

Like to add in ending that this week was a good week apart from the part where I'm at work- OOOPs that's like most of it

P-Party and others

anyway last update on my life was like last week, sometime- did I mention Salsa on thursday- and thai boxing same day-

i think I'll go thai boxing again tomorrow- and salsa as well- going on le vacation, so want to look good so I'm going to watch what I eat . just to note i did watch the bacon mushroom and egg sandwich today was very tasty-- needed to eat to take drugs that i got from the dentist and now I feel very drowsy-- but that may just be work

--OK so with the Melodic Mrs saw pelham 1,2,3 which is a good film , did the Ikea tour before that- only bad thing about that was that it wasn't for our house---

They had some bamboo in there which i was tempted to buy- will do when I move back to Londre

--Costume shopping for the P party was a joke lets say Idowu and Ojo shop like girls- couldn't make a decision for anything-- we were in there so long that my 7 yr old brother got bored and we left them there.


Went to Mrs's sisters birthday shindig and then donned my Pirate outfit and hit the P party, you need to see the pictures ill upload one when I get em-- Michael is a Dirty Bastard--

Falling Down

I missed my turning on the motorway as my Garmin does not have the new roads installed and I ended up in Wales as I crossed the welcome to wales sign everything slowed down. Weird that I was in a different country I got scared by the unpronounceable road signs. next junction 4th exit on the roundabout and got back to England.

Working on the client site a Nuclear facility, I've said too much already

Anyway I wanted to go Thai boxing and then salsa, but - I got stuck in traffic on 4 motorways on the way home , and I felt like I was going to go Postal and unleash Carmageddon,(like the game...remember??) I was going to fall down like Michael Douglas.

Needless to say I missed Thai boxing and went for a serious run in the rain- oh well .

Came home watched some more of the wire- I am an addict tearing through like 3 episodes a day and- I have no spare time so how do I do it.

Went Salsa and moved up a class and lo and behold I was alright best lesson I've had ,picked up new moves- later danced with some experienced dancers and got some tips--
