Schools out for summer

Near my school - 5 storeys

So, my first term as an ALT is over I've still popped into school to do some odd bits of work with the kids. They say when you love something you'd do it for free and that I am. I'll still go to school tomorrow at 9 am to do some stuff with the kids.

I have a lot of time to myself and I need to use it to work on a plan and things I'd like to achieve make short term goals to meet long term ones. I know I always said the goal is to be in Japan but now that has accomplished I NEED to work on the next step.

I've managed to get in some dancing been to Tokyo a couple of times and will possibly be getting in some club time Kizomba on Tuesday.(good news) It has been hot insects have been flying. I have received a bike which I have to pay for at the end of the month. The guy just said take the bike and pay when you have the money cool stuff. Working on a little Vblog venture so you can see what is going on so stay tuned for that. I think I'll try and link it all together and add Instagram as well. Triple threat son WHAT!!

little and often

Level 4 Mamachari

So I've been here a month and a bit, time is running out. so i've basically entered my fourth stage in my trip, which is my own room.

1st Francis's for a week +,
2nd Homestay
3rd Francis for a week
4th Own room


It is not huge, I'm using my suitcase as a makeshift desk, I Park my bicycle in my boys house across the street, which i could literally jump.

And I say my bicycle like it is my bicycle but it is not my bicycle it is my boys bicycle, he has at least 2 bicycles. Balling.It's not about Maybachs out here it's about Mamacharis.(google is your friend and note picture) We don't ride mamacharis though we are rolling on Mountain bikes with the kick stand attachment. mamacharis are col though you have the basket for carrying your conbinience store shopping.

Anyway the couple that I live with are young 26 and 28 and are quite friendly, they got excited about my level of japanese and I'm sure they were very happy that I was the BFG and not Big angry Foreigner. I've spent most of the day just chilling used the kitchen to make a west african egg stew with Korean Kimchi in the mix. I didn't do a great job. I know there is something missing but for the life of me I do not know what. Friends finish work soon so will probably treat myself to something nice to eat before having my first nights sleep in this room I think it would be a 6 tatami room. Enough space for pushups so I'm happy.

Tomorrow I think i will be out all day polishing up the linguistics

Okay I need to buy something to make this room smell less , i want it to smell sweet and stuff but I don't want air freshener. HMmmmm what to buy??

SO I bought a Bi-cycle- and chose this week as the week i'd start my commute to work on this bipedular contraption, I think it's a good move it's cheaper than the tube and a lot healthier,(unless you get hit by a bus of course).

The only inconvenient thing is the changing your clothes and having a shower- which i have to do, I sweat for fun sometimes, so I'm not going to risk any cycle related smelly time for anybody.

When I work in Graphics, i wanna use my bike alot and now that I have a a bike I think I may upgrade to a Motorcycle but no time soon. "It just seems like that would be so much fun" , he says while making motorbike noises.

Ih and a good friend of mine introduced me to Lynda, I will be spending some good times with Lynda soon enough, Lynda is a online learning tool especially for the creative www.lynda.com. So good
